Sideline Conduct

As we approach the ‘business end’ of the netball season, the safety of our players, coaches, managers and umpires is of paramount importance to MWNA.

Every team and their supporters will be encouraged and asked to ensure that their behaviour and actions meet the values and standards expected of them at all times.

We all know how to behave respectfully; however, differing levels of competitive natures sometime spill over in our enthusiasm to win.

Please encourage your players and your team’s supporters to:

  • respect the coaches decisions

  • provide positive comments when calling out from the sideline

  • display optimistic sportsmanship

  • do not shout / yell abuse from the sideline to players or umpires

  • applaud good play by both teams

  • help when asked by a coach or official

  • read / know the rules of Netball

  • thank the coaches, officials and other volunteers who give of their time

Good luck to all teams during their Semi Finals, Finals and Grand Finals
